Cerys Bussey is a contemporary photographer who has developed her love of photography from a very young age. In her teens she briefly lived in Australia where she learnt basic photography skills, which in term became the catalyst for her interest in nature photography. She particularly likes to make things which seem insignificant, significant, by capturing the intricate detail, and using this perspective as a window for others to see nature as she sees it.

She loves the vibrancy that can be found in living organisms and likes to explore the minute details in her subjects using various natural lighting and flash techniques to highlight their complex nature.

Cerys’ aim is to provide nature photographs for nature magazines and research websites, and to exploit photography to raise awareness of different eco-systems, especially those that are overlooked but are essential for maintaining our environment.

Cerys graduated Sheffield Hallam University with a First Class Degree in photography and has since won an award for her photography, been published in AP magazine and had a blog written about her and her work.
